ROKAnol DB5 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols (INCI name: C12-15 Pareth-5). The product belongs to the ROKAnol DB series based on C12-C15 fatty alcohol. Its high surface activity allows it to be used as an excellent detergent and a cleaning agent, and opens up the possibility of using it in other branches of industry. 

ROKAnol DB5 is a clear or turbid liquid with a tendency to delaminate at room temperature. It coagulates at about 10°C, while at 40°C it is a clear liquid with a light colour, i.e. max. 50 HU. The product contains about 100% active ingredient. Moreover, it has a cloud point at 65 ÷ 72°C (butyldiglycol/water solution).

The hydrophilic-lyophilic balance (HLB) value of the product is 10.5. Due to its limited solubility in water, it forms cloudy solutions. Thanks to its non-ionic character, it is perfect for use with other non-ionic, cationic and anionic surfactant products. ROKAnol DB5 stands out from other products of the ROKAnol DB series with its relatively low foaming capacity for an ethoxylated product. It is characterized by excellent detergency, emulsifying and dispersing properties.

In laundry detergents, it proves to be an excellent alternative to standard anionically active products, for which effective cleaning requires concentrated formulas together and the use of high temperatures for cotton fabrics. Its detergency properties are so effective that the washing process takes place even at low temperatures and lower concentrations.

In addition, the product has the ability to emulsify mineral oil, which makes it suitable for use in products for removing stains from machine oil during pre-treatment of fabric/ knitted fabrics. It perfectly cooperates with ROKAnol DB series of products with a higher degree of ethoxylation.

ROKAnol DB5 is an excellent formulation ingredient in household cleaning products, e.g. kitchen cleaners, window cleaners and floor cleaners.

It is used in products for industrial and institutional use. Its good emulsifying properties make it suitable for use in the degreasing of metal surfaces, as well as in plant protection products, in liquid herbicide formulations such as: EC, EW, SE.

ROKAnol DB5 is completely biodegradable and meets the criteria of the detergents directive.
