Sealants are substances that form a barrier to liquids or gases. Their function is to fill the gap between the surfaces, and form an impermeable barrier which is resistant to water, corrosion or stretching.

Sealants should have short hardening time and high resistance to abrasion or flow. Moreover, they should provide very good adhesion to the application surface and resistance to vibration, humidity or pollution present in the air.

Polyurethane sealants meet the above requirements and are also resistant to solvents and cleaning agents, making their binding area weld stable for a long time. Sealants provide thermal and acoustic insulation and reinforcement. These features make them useful in many areas of everyday life – including the construction industry, automotive industry or production engineering.
