Active Play AS H 8008 (W) - one-component adhesive dedicated to the production of cold- and hot-molded elements from rubber granulates: EPDM and SBR
Active Play AS H 8008 (W) is a high-quality polyether prepolymer based on MDI isocyanate with low functionality (2.0–2.2), designed for demanding industrial applications. This one-component polyurethane adhesive is available as a clear liquid, ranging in color from colorless to light yellow, reflecting its exceptional purity and consistency.
The product features a viscosity of 2000–4000 mPas at 25°C and an NCO content of 9.0–10.0%, ensuring excellent adhesion, flexibility, and bond durability.
Active Play AS H 8008 (W) has been developed specifically for the production of cold- and hot-molded components made from EPDM and SBR rubber granulates, including those obtained through recycling processes.
Thanks to its optimized formula, it provides strong, elastic, and long-lasting bonds, ideal for manufacturing durable, safe, and resilient rubber surfaces and molded elements.
This product combines technological precision with environmental responsibility, meeting the expectations of modern industry and the circular economy.
Active Play AS H 8008 (W) – reliable polyurethane adhesive for the recycling and rubber processing industry
Active Play AS H 8008 (W) is a modern polyurethane prepolymer designed specifically for recycling applications. It performs exceptionally well as an adhesive for bonding black SBR granulate, obtained from shredded and processed car tires. Thanks to its versatility, it can also be used for bonding other fragmented materials, such as flexible polyurethane foams, EVA, cork, and gravel.
The SBR granulate recovered from tire recycling is a durable, abrasion- and weather-resistant material that is also elastic, safe, and water-repellent. It provides excellent sound and vibration absorption, making it an ideal raw material for the production of safety mats, surface tiles, road construction components, and sound- and vibration-insulating mats.
Efficiency and easy application
Before use, the pigmented prepolymer Active Play AS H 8008 (W) should be mixed and then applied to moisten the SBR granulate, which is then shaped into the desired form. Under pressure and the influence of temperature, the material cures through heat and moisture, creating a strong yet flexible bond.
The final properties of the molded product depend on the granulate size, adhesive ratio, and compression level during the process. Curing occurs at temperatures between 70°C and 150°C, and the proper selection of temperature and humidity allows for a significant reduction in polymerization time.
Durability and safety
When combined with SBR granulate, the prepolymer forms a rigid yet elastic bond that ensures excellent mechanical performance of the finished elements. The product contains no volatile organic solvents, making it an eco-friendly and safe solution for industrial use.
Active Play AS H 8008 (W) is widely used in:
the production of surface tiles and mats for playgrounds, gyms, fitness rooms, and sports facilities,
the manufacturing of road and infrastructure components,
projects utilizing SBR and EPDM rubber granulates.
Winter version – greater production flexibility
The product is the winter version of Active Play 8008. Due to its higher reactivity, it achieves the same bonding performance and durability as Active Play AS H, but at lower temperatures, providing greater process flexibility and efficiency in colder conditions.
Application advantages:
broad use in various polyurethane sectors (e.g., coatings, sealants, binders),
very long curing time allowing precise forming,
easy to apply – ideal for bonding different rubber granulates,
suitable for both hot and cold processing,
high thermal resistance – can be used at 70°C to 150°C,
increased humidity shortens curing time for surfaces or molded elements.
