ROKAmer R3100 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide EO/PO. The product is a colourless liquid with a freezing point below -20°C. It is a highly concentrated product with an active substance content of approximately 100%. An aqueous solution of ROKAmer R3100 at room temperature is a clear liquid.
The product is a high-molecular-weight polymer with a specific, dual-function structure, which means that it has two hydrophilic groups. This feature distinguishes the ROKAmer group from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their application properties. ROKAmer R3100 is classified as a low-foaming and anti-foaming product.
The product is ideal as a component of lubricants in the metal and textile industries. It works very well at elevated temperatures, especially above 40°C. It is characterised by good washability.
ROKAmer R3100 is a reactive surfactant. Therefore, it can be further modified, e.g. with fatty acids. Due to its ability to prevent foaming, the product can be used in many industrial processes, e.g. derivatives of the product are anti-foaming agents for the paper and food industries (e.g. sugar production).
In the lubricant industry, ROKAmer R3100 is recommended as a component of synthetic fluids. In the textile industry, it is a very good component of preparations used as so-called spinning finishes for synthetic fibres, whose main task is to improve further processing.
Other applications of this product include the production of heat transfer fluids and hydraulic fluids, e.g. in the electronics industry for the production of printed circuits. ROKAmer R3100 can also be used as an anti-adhesive agent for products to moulds.
Thanks to its properties, ROKAmer R3100 reduces the surface tension between liquid and air. At the same time, it improves foam drainage, resulting in its reduction.
ROKAmer R3100 does not contain silicone and is highly susceptible to aerobic biodegradation. It is also not classified under the CLP/GHS Regulation.
ROKAmer R3100 complies with regulations allowing the product to come into indirect contact with food. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves the use of this product and its derivatives as an anti-foaming agent under the conditions described in the following FDA sections:
173.340
175.105
