ROKAnol® GT6 is a non-ionic surfactant. It belongs to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. The product is part of a series of surfactants based on C9-C16 alcohol. Due to its special properties, ROKAnol® GT6 is a perfect substitute for ethoxylated C13 alcohol.
ROKAnol® GT6 at 50°C is a clear liquid with a Hazen colour of 100 max. It is sparingly soluble in water and forms cloudy solutions in it. However, the product dissolves very well in methanol and acetone. The ROKAnol® GT6 cloud point is determined for a 10% solution in a 25% BDG solution and is 67-72°C. The commercial product contains over 99% of the active substance and solidifies at a temperature close to 0°C. It is compatible with non-ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
ROKAnol® GT6 achieves the lowest level of foaming in aqueous solutions among all products of the ROKAnol® GT series. The product is recommended for heavily soiled surfaces due to its very good degreasing, emulsifying and dispersing properties. ROKAnol® GT6 is perfect for cleaning formulations, especially in products intended for industrial and institutional applications. In combination with fatty alcohol surfactants with a lower degree of ethoxylation, it exhibits synergism in cleaning action.
