ROKAnol®GT6R (C9-16 alcohol ethoxylated)

ROKAnol^® GT6R belongs to non-ionic surfactants from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols with a C9 - C16 chain length. The product belongs to the ROKAnol^® GT series. The commercial form of ROKAnol GT6R contains about 100% of the active substance. The product takes the form of a clear or cloudy liquid with a tendency to stratification, solidifying at a temperature close to 3°C. At 50°C it becomes clear and exhibits a light colour, i.e. 100 max. on Hazen scale. The product is characterized by better hydrophilicity as compared to ROKAnol^® GT3 or GT5. The cloud point of ROKAnol^® GT6R is within the range of 71 ÷ 73°C (in butyl diglycol / water solution). Due to the limited solubility in water, it forms cloudy solutions. Due to its special properties, it is perfect as a substitute for ethoxylates based on C13 alcohol.

ROKAnol^® GT6R is characterized by excellent wetting properties. In addition to ROKAnol^® GT5, GT7 and GT8, it is one of the best wetting agents among the entire ROKAnol^® GT series. This means that it effectively removes the air trapped in the fabric and causes the fabric to be completely submerged in the solution. Thanks to this mechanism, high efficiency of the cotton bleaching process is achieved. Additionally, the product may improve the dye absorption (capillarity) to the structure of the textile material during further processing of the textile products. Excellent wetting and detergent properties, along with a low foaming capacity of the product, are used in the washing and institutional cleaning process. In professional washing liquids, Rokanol^® GT6R is most often combined with other non-ionic surfactants, BDG and alkalis. Such compositions may also contain anionic surfactants, e.g. ABSNa. The ROKAnol^® GT6R product also has very good degreasing properties.The product is active in cold water, acid and neutral baths, as well as in diluted alkalis. It can be successfully used in the environment of oxidizing and reducing agents and in the presence of hard water. ROKAnol^® GT6R is completely biodegradable and meets the EU directive criteria on detergents.
