SULFOROKAnol®IT2030 (Tridecyl alcohol, ethoxylated, sulfated; sodium salt)

SULFOROKAnol IT2030 is an anionic surface-active agent based on ethoxylated isotridecyl alcohol.

This commercial product has the form of a transparent solution with a 30% active ingredient concentration.

The basic application of SULFOROKAnol IT2030 is the industrial production process for polymer dispersions, particularly dispersions of acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl and vinyl-acrylic copolymers through the process of emulsion polymerisation, where the product serves as the main emulsifier.

SULFOROKanol IT2030 is distinguished among other anionic emulsifiers by the high ethoxylate content, which directly translates to unique product properties. This product is highly efficient at stabilizing polymer molecules, both during synthesis as well as during the further storage of the final dispersion. The complex non-ionic group ensures very good dispersion stability in an environment of coagulating substances, such as salts, metal ions and organic solvents. The product has a favourable effect on the improvement of dispersion resistance to freeze-thaw cycles. SULFOROKAnol IT2030 can be used as a standalone emulsifier in emulsion polymerisation processes, although its effectiveness improves when it is applied in combination with the right non-ionic surfactants, particularly with ROKAnol L30/65, ROKAnol IT40/70, ROKAnol UD40/70 or ROKAnol TSP25/80. SULFOROKAnol IT2030 is a product with relatively mild classification and it is free of ethoxylated alkylphenol derivatives. Recommended product application level is an amount of active ingredient equal to 1.0-4.0% (by weight) of total monomer weight.
