ROKAnol®LP550 (Polyoxyalkylene glycol ether)

ROKAnol LP550 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated fatty alcohols. The product belongs to the ROKAnol LP series, being a large group of products with low foaming properties.

ROKAnol LP series are compounds dedicated mainly for processes requiring non-ionic surfactants with particularly reduced foaming, while maintaining application parameters. These are, as a rule, detergents intended for household, institutional and industrial washing.

ROKAnol LP550 is a clear liquid with a colour in the Hazen scale of up to 50. Its solidification point is about -14°C, and the density at 25°C is about 1.0 g/mL. The commercial product is highly concentrated and contains about 100% of the active substance.The surfactant is poorly soluble in water, and its cloud-point in butyl diglycol solutions is in the range (26-30)°C for a 10% solution.ROKAnol LP550 is often recommended as a defoamer, acting well at low temperatures. The optimum performance may be expected below 25°C. For this reason, it is widely used as a component of detergents for institutional washing, additives in the textile industry, or cleaning agents intended for production of household chemicals.The product shows effective anti-foaming action even under intense mechanical conditions.On the basis of ROKAnol LP550, it is also possible to produce formulations used in the processes of creation of paper pulp and in fermentation processes. The product is also successfully used in the production of sugar and as a defoamer during industrial washing of vegetables and fruit. The surfactant is not classified according to the CLP/GHS regulation.
