Foaming agent is a key ingredient for many products. It is used in various industries. It is a component of cosmetics, household chemicals and fire protection products. Depending on the intended use, appropriate substances are used to improve foam quality and other key properties. Among foaming agents, we find products which are distinguished by such features as: good water solubility, wetting properties, but also good resistance to hard water, emulsifying properties, mild action, and high durability. This depends on the dedicated form of use.

What are foaming agents and how do they work?

Foaming agents are ingredients with a wide range of applications. They are used in numerous industries, from firefighting and cleaning to cosmetics production. They work by reducing the surface tension between water and air. This, in turn, creates space for the formation of stable foam with specific properties. How a given foam works depends on its intended use, parameters and, consequently, the ingredients used in its production.

What products are made from these raw materials?

Foam agents are the basis for the production of a wide range of products for various purposes. In this regard, the following are particularly noteworthy:

  • fire extinguishing concentrates and fillings for foam fire extinguishers,
  • shampoos and cleaning cosmetics,
  • dishwashing liquids,
  • detergents,
  • car cleaning products,
  • mechanical fire extinguishing foams with varying degrees of foaming.

The wealth of possibilities makes them one of the most versatile raw materials, which, after appropriate processing, can be used in households as well as in professional systems.

The practical application of foaming agents. For whom?

They play a particularly important role in the broadly understood firefighting industry, where their high extinguishing class is noteworthy. PCC products are characterised by above-average effectiveness in extinguishing fires and, in addition, effectively prevent the recurrence of fire.

But that’s not all. Their capabilities are also used in areas mainly associated with maintaining cleanliness and order, in particular: the so-called personal care (cleaning cosmetics), auto care (cosmetics and vehicle cleaning fluids), and industrial chemicals (dirt removers).

What types of foam-forming agents can you find in our offer?

The PCC Group has a whole range of specialised products in its assortment that will work well in each of the above-mentioned industries. In our portfolio you will find, for example:

anionic surfactants – ROSULfans and SULFOROKAnols with excellent foaming properties,

  • a series of betaines – ROKAmin amphoteric surfactants with a mild effect,
  • synthetic fire extinguishing agents – used to produce mechanical fire-fighting foams with varying degrees of foaming and a high fire-extinguishing class.
  • For more information on the composition, parameters and applications of specific PCC products, please refer directly to the product data sheets provided above on this page.

Why is it worth it? There are at least several reasons. The key ones are: excellent solubility in water, wetting properties and resistance to hard water. All of them are characterised by excellent foaming properties and, above all, effectiveness. Foam intended for cleaning copes well with various types of dirt. On the other hand, foam dedicated to fighting fire perfectly suppresses flames. Each product has undergone rigorous quality testing, confirming its effectiveness in demanding applications.

Foaming agents – manufacturer PCC Group

The PCC Group has a wide range of surfactants in its offer, among which we can also find various foaming agents.

We offer a wide range of foam forming agents dedicated to manufacturers of fire extinguishing concentrates, fillings for foam extinguishers. We also have synthetic fire-extinguishing agents that are used to produce mechanical fire-extinguishing foams with varying degrees of foaming. Our products are distinguished by a high fire-extinguishing class, which proves very good fire extinguishing efficiency and prevention of fire recurrence.

Foaming agents are also a very important ingredient in washing formulations, whether for cosmetics, household chemicals or car washing liquids. They are used not only in households but also in industry. Cleaning using formulations containing foaming agents is more effective and faster. Foam, which is formed during washing, better removes dirt and prevents re-deposition of contaminants, thus keeping the surface clean for longer. The preparations we offer are characterised by such properties as: excellent foaming capabilities, thickening properties, foam stabilisation or mitigation of irritating properties of other ingredients of the formulation.

The PCC Group has specialized products that will work in any industry. Our portfolio includes: anionic surfactants such as ROSULfans and SULFOROKAnoles, and a series of betain – amphoteric surfactants (ROKAmines). Suitable products are dedicated especially for the auto care and personal care industry, cleaning formulations for industry as well as for household and extinguishing agents.
