Thickening agents

Thickeners are substances that allow us to obtain the desired consistency and the appropriate structure of the product. Although they are not the main ingredients, in many cases they are indispensable, as they can also affect viscosity, which is responsible for stability and sometimes for the effectiveness of the formulation. They are most often used in cosmetic products and cleaning agents as well as in food industry.

Thickeners are substances that allow us to obtain the desired consistency and the appropriate structure of the product. Although they are not the main ingredients, in many cases they are indispensable, as they can also affect viscosity, which is responsible for stability and sometimes for the effectiveness of the formulation. They are most often used in cosmetic products and cleaning agents as well as in food industry.Popular thickeners include gelatin, Guar gum, xanthan gum, starch, and hyaluronic acid.
