ROKAnol^® GT8 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols with a chain length of C9 - C16. The product belongs to the ROKAnol^® GT series. The commercial product contains approximately 100% of the active substance. Due to its special properties, it is perfect as a substitute for ethoxylates based on C13 alcohol.

ROKAnol^® GT8 is a white, cloudy liquid or paste, which solidifies at a temperature close to 8°C. At 40°C, it is a clear liquid with a light colour, i.e. 50 max. on Hazen scale. ROKAnol^® GT8 has hydrophilic properties, thanks to which it dissolves well in water and in low aliphatic alcohols. It is characterized by moderate foam formation. It has a high cloud point within the temperature range of 76 ÷ 78°C, in a butyl diglycol / water solution. It can be successfully used in an oxidizing, reducing, and hard water environment.

Due to its ionic nature, this product can be used in a mixture with other non-ionic auxiliary agents, and in formulations with anionic as well as cationic surfactants. The use of ROKAnol^® GT8 ensures optimal wetting of the cleaned surface. Due to its very good detergent properties, it also ensures the high quality of dirt removal from both the woven fabric/knitted fabric surface and the hard surface. The product has the ability to disperse dirt particles in water cleaning processes, which is an advantage that is important in detergency. For this reason, it is perfect as a component of slightly alkaline and acidic detergents for professional washing and industrial and institutional cleaning. In professional washing liquids, ROKAnol^® GT8 is most often combined with other non-ionic surfactants, BDG and alkalis. Such compositions may also contain anionic surfactants, e.g. ABSNa.ROKAnol^® GT8 is also used in the processes of pre-treatment of fibres. It is recommended for removing oil stains (mineral oils) from woven or knitted fabric, which result from industrial knitting and weaving processes. Due to the very good wetting properties of cotton fabrics, the product can be used as a component of bleaching compositions for raw knitted fabrics and cotton fabrics. Its presence in the formulation increases bleaching efficiency, which improves capillarity in dyeing processes. In industrial applications, it is used in preparations for cleaning heavy soiling in the engineering industry. ROKAnol^® GT8 is a very easily biodegradable product.
