EXOcare®TE20 PILLS (Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20)

EXOcare TE20 PILLS is a blend with the INCI name Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth-20. The product is available as white, waxy solid pastilles and is derived from renewable plant materials. It is primarily used in the cosmetics industry.

EXOcare TE20 PILLS serves as an excellent emulsifying base for oil-in-water (O/W) formulations, exhibiting high stability across a broad pH range. It can be effectively used as a primary or secondary emulsifier in a variety of creams, pastes, and balms.

Since EXOcare TE20 PILLS is non-ionic and not an ester, it is suitable for use in systems with pH levels far from neutral, such as hair straightening preparations, depilatory creams, creamy balms, and skincare creams.EXOcare TE20 PILLS also acts as a conditioner and emollient in body wash and skincare products. In skin and hair care formulations, it forms an occlusive layer that prevents excessive water evaporation, providing indirect moisturizing. This results in effective conditioning, softening, and smoothing of the skin and hair.One of the key benefits of EXOcare TE20 PILLS is its ability to mitigate skin dryness caused by anionic surfactants. Its properties help create a protective layer on the skin, maintaining moisture.Additionally, EXOcare TE20 PILLS modifies rheological properties, allowing for the achievement of desired product consistency and increased viscosity, which is particularly important for creams, milks, and hair conditioners.The inclusion of EXOcare TE20 PILLS in cosmetic formulations also enhances application properties, improving spreadability, reducing friction, and promoting foaming.EXOcare TE20 PILLS effectively removes impurities and makeup without causing excessive degreasing, thereby preventing skin dryness. It is not affected by hard water.EXOcare TE20 PILLS is a safe product, free from causing irritation or allergic reactions. It can be used in combination with other non-ionic surfactants and in mixtures with anionic and cationic surfactants.
