Glycerin-based EO/PO block copolymers are non-ionic surfactants composed of blocks of ethylene oxide and propylene derivatives using glycerin as a starter. In the molecule, glycerin forms the core to which subsequent monomers are attached.

The use of copolymers covers a wide range of industries – from industrial cleaning and washing, through the paper industry, to the food industry.

Due to their water-binding ability, glycerin-based EO/PO block copolymers are also used in skin and hair care products to increase hydration. They also improve the parameters of a formulation by their emulsifying properties and ensuring thermal stability. They also support emulsification processes in the formulation and provide, among others, thermal stability.
