ROKAtend GL is an anionic surfactant from the group of amino acid surfactants, INCI name: Sodium Lauroyl Glycinate, used mainly in cosmetic applications. This product is manufactured on the basis of biomimetics, i.e. raw materials mimicking naturally occurring chemical compounds and fatty acids - raw materials of vegetable origin. This surfactant is in the form of an aqueous solution with an active content of about 20% and a straw to light yellow colour.

Amino acid surfactants are the mildest surfactants available on the market. As primary and secondary surfactants, they are mild to the skin. A significant number of studies indicate that they are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Due to the strong adsorption on protein surfaces, they contribute to the feeling of long-term comfort and softness of the skin. They are also a very delicate hair cleaner and give the hair a feeling of softness and silkiness and are characterized by low toxicity to human skin cells.Amino acid surfactants are characterized by a great foaming effect also in the higher pH range. Stable and dense foam is created even in the presence of sebaceous substances and hard water. Foam height and its stability is comparable to the best foaming surfactants, which are SLES and betaines. Amino acid surfactants relatively well tolerate the high alkalinity of the environment and can be used as foam-forming agents even at high pH values, which in the case of other surfactants reduce efficiency.They are environmentally friendly, characterized by high and fast biodegradability. Bacterial degradation is faster than most other commercially available anionic surfactants.
