ROKAmer ED57 is a non-ionic surfactant that belongs to the group of block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, based on alkoxylated ethylenediamine. The commercial product is a liquid with good water solubility. It has a low solidification point of -8°C. The product has a high concentration of the active substance (approx. 100%).
It is a high polymer with a specific tetra-functional structure, i.e. it has four hydrophilic groups. This feature distinguishes the ROKAmer ED group from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their properties. ROKAmer ED57 is a product with low- and anti-foaming properties.
ROKAmer ED57 is mainly used as a specialised crude oil demulsifier that destabilises water-in-oil emulsions. It can be used as a component of dehydration and desalination preparations both in oil fields and in refineries. As a crude oil demulsifier, it has a hybrid effect: it combines the effects of a desalinating agent, an agent removing excess salinity, and an emulsion breakup promoter.
ROKAmer ED57 is efficient even at low concentrations (at the level of approx. 10-1000 ppm added to a formulation).It is perfect as a component of multi-ingredient demulsifying substances. It is recommended for destabilising light crude oil emulsions with a high water content in the raw material.
ROKAmer ED57 can also be used to demulsify waste fractions in the purification of process waters.
The product is not classified as hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
The product is not subject to ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG, ICAO/IATA.
