ROKAfenol PN7K (Phosphoric ester of nonylphenol)

ROKAfenol PN 7K is poorly soluble in water - forms cloudy solutions in it. At a concentration of 1% of the product in water, an emulsion with a pH in the range of 2-3 is formed. ROKAfenol PN 7K serves as an ingredient for obtaining washing and cleaning agents and as an emulsifier. It works in aqueous and non-aqueous systems containing other surfactants, mineral oils, vegetable oils and organic solvents. It is an active agent that retains its cleaning properties in cold and hard water. ROKAfenol PN 7K is resistant to high temperature and high concentration of electrolytes. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing factors and is stable in acids and alkalis.

The product is recommended for washing and degreasing of cheviot, yarns, woollen fabrics without alkali additives and as a penetrator and equaliser in dyeing, peeling off and finishing fibres. It is a component of antistatic compositions. It also works as an emulsifier of oils, solvents, silicone greases, in order to prepare process preparations for spinning, carding and other operations, for all types of vegetable, animal, chemical and mixed fibres.

The ability of ROKAfenol PN 7K to dissolve in oil and the extreme pressure properties of the product are useful in lubricants and metalworking formulations. In waterborne metalworking fluids, the product is used in neutralised form. Triethanolamine salt provides optimal protection against corrosion in both water and oil systems. The product can be used in cutting and grinding fluids as well as in aqueous hydraulic fluids. Due to its lubricating properties, it can be used in the production of e.g. greases for chain belts and transmission oils.

Regulations of the European Union - REGULATION (EC) No. 1907/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 18 December 2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) - prohibit the placing on the market of the product in the European Union countries after 01/04/2021.
