Rokopol® M1160 is a polyether polyol, a block/statistical copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide based on glycerine. It exists in the form of liquid free of mechanical impurities, may be opalescent. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It is characterised by high purity and low emission low of volatile organic compounds. It has hydroxyl value within the range of 30-36 mgKOH/g, and dynamic viscosity within the range of 1200-1500 mPas at temp. 25°C.

Rokopol® M1160 is used as cell opener for production of high resilience (HR) flexible and hyper soft (Hyper Soft) polyurethane foams using the continuous system (slabstock), periodic production (batch) and moulded foams. Applied together with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents) it is used to produce blocks of hyper flexible foam with rectangular cross-section and height up to 120 cm. Main advantages of application of Rokopol® M1160:

low density Hypersoft foam,

reduced reactivity vs Rokopol M1170,

high purity and low emission of volatile organic compounds,

possibility to manufacture foams of density within the range 20-80 kg/m3, hardness within the range 0.6- 3kPa, and elasticity up to 40%, (poliol dedicated in particular to light foams, below density of 25kg/m3),

tear resistance of the foam is above 40kPa and relative elongation at rupture above 200%,

used with polyol Rokopol® F3600 it reduces hardness of the standard foams or hyper soft foams,

ensures very high comfort factor,

very good resistance to scorch.

increased quality flexible foams, soft and hyper soft foams, gel foams, HR foams and viscoelastic foams,

increased comfort mattresses and pillows,

as comfortable material for production of car seats,

it is used in combination with polyols of the series vTec for production of viscoelastic foams,

used as a cell opener.
