POLIkol 800 belongs to the group of polyoxyethylene glycols (PEG with an average molecular weight of 600). INCI: PEG-16. The product is a high viscosity liquid or a soft white paste. POLIkol 800 is characterized by a wide range of applications. It has excellent softening, lubricating, solubilizing and moisturising properties. This product exhibits good anti-electrostatic properties and strong hygroscopic properties.

In cosmetic formulations POLIkol 800 serves as a solubilizer and acts as a humectant, binding water. It can be effectively used to modify rheology of active substances. Due to its anti-electrostatic properties, the product is used in industrial cleaning and metalworking. Hygroscopic properties are applied in the agrochemical industry, especially in the production of fertilizers.The product is used for hardening concrete and cement mortars. It reduces the loss of water in the mixture, providing better binding of the material. When properly dosed, it increases the mechanical strength of hardened concrete. The product can be used in the self-curing concrete design.Additionally, POLIkol 800 enhances the mechanical properties of polyurethane foams. When properly dosed into the system, it reduces brittleness and increases the compressive strength of the foam. In addition, POLIkol 800 has a positive opinion of international organizations, such as the American organization FDA (Food and Drug Administration), which authorizes the use of Polyethylene glycol as an indirect food additive based on CFR 21 lists:
