Rokopol® MS5240 is a polyether polyol in form of white, non-transparent liquid where copolymer content is 40%. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It has hydroxyl value within the range of 20-23 mgKOH/g. Its dynamic viscosity is within the range of 3500-7000 mPas at temp. 25°C.

Rokopol® MS5240 is used for production of high resilience (HR) flexible polyurethane foams using the continuous system (slabstock), batch foams and moulded foams. Using Rokopol® MS5240 and properly selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents), blocks of high resilience flexible foam (HR) with rectangular cross-section and height up to 100 cm can be produced. Main advantages of application of Rokopol® MS5240:

possibility to manufacture foams of density within the range 25-80 kg/m3 and hardness within the range 5-12kPa, and elasticity up to 35%,

tear resistance of the foam is above 50kPa and relative elongation at rupture above 50%,

possibility to use the polyol with reactive polymeric polyols in order to, e.g. remove the block trapezoid effect, increase block height and modify foam hardness, and optimize foam openness.
