ROKAnol® IT9S belongs to non-ionic surfactants from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. INCI Name: Isotrideceth-9. The product forms a large group of surfactants based on isotridecyl alcohol, iso-C13.
ROKAnol® IT9S contains about 100% active substance (water content is max. 0.2%). Its commercial form is a liquid of oil consistency or paste. At a temperature of about 24°C the product solidifies, while at 50°C it is in the form of a bright, clear liquid. ROKAnol® IT9S dissolves well in water and in low aliphatic alcohols. This indicates the hydrophilic characteristics of the product. Moreover, it has a hydroxyl value of 94÷99 mg KOH/g.
ROKAnol® IT9S is an intermediate product for obtaining anionic surfactants, e.g. phosphorus esters or carboxy ethers. Anion phosphoric esters based on this product are characterized by very high emulsifying and dispersing properties in industrial applications.
ROKAnol® IT9S is a biodegradable product, compliant with the biodegradability criteria set out in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
